Does it strike anyone else as odd that the week before they are auctioned, the GM properties are intentionally pumping out low-quality pieces? Trying to drive down the price? Or is this a desperate click-bait hail mary to get some views? Anybody got stats?

Not sure what the strategy has been but it’s utter garbage. Gizmodo on FB posting about how nobody has seen Trump without a jacket in 7 months (reported as spam and unfollwed their page- political affiliation aside I dont want to see politics spewn from a tech blog.) Slightly tech related, again Gizmodo as the culprit, but a recent article on “who had sex at our star trek thing?” Seriously? I’m guessing either scorched earth tactics or they want to get picked up by BuzzFeed.

At this point it seems like they are expecting to be shut down by whoever buys them and as such believes there are no consequences to posting stupid articles.

It depends on the relationship between Gawmer and the Kinja platform, I guess. Does Gawker own Kinja? Or does it just run on it? Oppo has been spun off from Jalopnik so if Kinja sticks around so will Oppo I suppose.
